Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitors:

There are 3 important steps to follow to get accurate and constant readings:

  • Cuff size. Measure the circumference of your upper arm and compare that number to the range imprinted on your cuff. If you do NOT fall within that reange you need a different sized cuff.
  • Positioning. Sit in a chair with your arm placed on a table in front of you, feet flat on the floor.
  • Resting Period. Rest at least 5 minutes before taking your first measurement. It is recommended that you place the cuff around your arm first and then rest.

Wrist Blood Pressure Monitors:

There are 3 important steps to follow to get accurate and constant readings:

  • Cuff size. Measure the circumference of your wrist and make sure your wrist size falls within the size imprinted on the cuff.
  • Positioning. Sit in a chair with your arm placed on a table in front of you. Place your hand on top of the storage box, so that the unit is on the same level as your heart (very important).
  • Resting Period. Rest at least 5 minutes before taking your first measurement. It is recommended that you place the cuff around your arm first and then rest.
