Problem:
Battery is stuck inside thermometer.
Solution:
This sometimes happens when batteries expand beyond their normal size. To remove those batteries, follow these instructions.
1) Open the battery compartment
2) Hold the thermometer on the bigger part (kind of like a handle) with the "stick" pointing towards the floor.
3) Now hold it up and swing it towards the floor a couple of time. This should create enough movement for the battery to slide forward enough so that you can remove it.
